It's an incredible thing,
When Dreams Come True.
This truck is a dream come true.
It began life as a 2004 Toyota Tacoma.
Base Model. 2-door. Regular Bed. Manual.
Perfect.
After being rear-ended, the Tacoma wouldn't align. The rear end was out of sorts.
Dillon, well; he's incredible. With the precision of a surgeon, he grafted in a Subframe from an Infiniti G37.
Independent suspension from a vehicle 1000 lbs heavier? Yes please!
Thanks to the weight of the G37, the Tacoma still has an excellent carrying capacity.
Plus; and this is what really matters:
It drives like a sports truck.
Canyons? Yes please. Corners? Gladly.
Drifting? We're still working on that. :P
And, when it comes down to it, this Tacoma excels at being a truck.
What have I carried with this thing?
Engines, mattresses, drywall, lumber, unicycles, concrete, tools, trikes, motorcycles.
It's no exaggeration when I say this vehicle is a dream come true. My father and I owned a 1980's Toyota Pickup. It was a really neat truck; dually, manual. Powered by the iconic 22RE motor. Slow, but an absolute tank!
A few months after buying the truck from Dillon, I found a drawing from about 15 years old of a lowered Toyota Tacoma. My truck!
What's next for this incredible little truck?
Thank you for the photos Charles. You are an incredible photographer. I'm grateful to call you a friend. Dillon; I really cannot thank you sufficiently for this Truck. I love this vehicle. You're a renaissance man.
